One social media internet tool, before they were considered social community media are Internet forums. Forums are application for holding discussions and posting user-generated content. Social User Forums perform the same function that the dailup bulletin board systems and Usenet news groups did for the internet many years ago.  A virtual community will often develop around these social forums. Most of these social community forums will have a regular group of users. These forums will generate links and traffic back to your websites.
