Do you go Boating? Boating is a leisurely activity of traveling by boat typically for recreational use. There are different types of boats, from power boats, sail boats, or up to the big yachts. Leisure boating is a big time activity in the south, where lakes and coastal waters are plentiful.  Boating encompasses millions of people that take part in sports activities such as fishing,  leisure fishing or even fishing for money.  Water skiing is done mainly a leisure boating activity, but there are many skiing tournaments to take part in. There is some fractions that even race boats.  Racing boats is a little crazy. With the millions of boaters worldwide, the need for boat safety is a must. The Boating Laws have changed over the last several years to protect boaters from those that do not follow laws like Boating OUI, speeding and just general non safety boating. The government is now requiring license for driving or steering a motorized watercraft on water. This can be a good thing to limit how you can and can not drive a motor vehicle on the water. Some states require the owner of the motorized watercraft to maintain and have accompanied by evidence of ownership of the boat, insurance, having paid appropriate registration fees and a license taxes.  Over all this has made on the surface the waterways safer, boat on.  Now the regulations have reduced some from boating over the years but it has improved boating safety.
