Today the internet and computers are all about access. You can access the internet with access points or switch to the get you to the world wide web. If you are like me you utilize the internet to log into other computers for remote web hosting of your website or blogs. Most remote access is done with a secure connection to the internet computers. When I do tech support I use remote access software that will enable remote management to get control of the computer to fix issues or train an end user doing a procedure by watching me perform the needed function on their screen. The older encryption remote access software was typically ran at 128-bit encryption, this has been the norm for years. The new technology remote software like the proxy pro 6 is using a 256-bit encryption software, the highest encryption in remote access software. The newer high encryption software is able to reach PC’s anywhere  to resolve support issues and fix computer issues for a server help desk or for IT admin type folks to do maintenance on servers or mobile computers to keep the business workforce up and running. What is next in remote access? Maybe it will be something like a head attachment with a visual aid that will perform remote access. Just a thought.

Do you not just love to go to parties that have been catered. They have some of the tastiest little snack foods there. Lately there is a group of us that seem to be meeting up at the table with the best little hot wings on it. One of my favorites was a few years back for software users that was run by a Dallas catering outfit, it was meeting of a software user group for a large software provider. The foods are so flavorful that you can not just eat one and even after the party we found ourselves talking about how good they were.

Zoho has a vast amount of online applications including mail, word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, doc management, note taker, full-featured wiki, share, organizer, chat, online invoice, project management, online reporting and BI service, HRIS, applicant tracking system, business solutions and something called Zoho Marketplace.  Lots of applications to take care on any business need.

Do you go Boating? Boating is a leisurely activity of traveling by boat typically for recreational use. There are different types of boats, from power boats, sail boats, or up to the big yachts. Leisure boating is a big time activity in the south, where lakes and coastal waters are plentiful.  Boating encompasses millions of people that take part in sports activities such as fishing,  leisure fishing or even fishing for money.  Water skiing is done mainly a leisure boating activity, but there are many skiing tournaments to take part in. There is some fractions that even race boats.  Racing boats is a little crazy. With the millions of boaters worldwide, the need for boat safety is a must. The Boating Laws have changed over the last several years to protect boaters from those that do not follow laws like Boating OUI, speeding and just general non safety boating. The government is now requiring license for driving or steering a motorized watercraft on water. This can be a good thing to limit how you can and can not drive a motor vehicle on the water. Some states require the owner of the motorized watercraft to maintain and have accompanied by evidence of ownership of the boat, insurance, having paid appropriate registration fees and a license taxes.  Over all this has made on the surface the waterways safer, boat on.  Now the regulations have reduced some from boating over the years but it has improved boating safety.

If you have had a computer for any length of time you know that there are several issues battling you in its use, software, hardware, internet access and power. Power is self-explanatory, must have electricity to run a computer or battery for laptop. Or both in case the power goes off or flips off on you. These days you need lots of harddrive space and lots of ram memory. Diskdrive spaces is needed due to picture taking, videos and software storage. Memory, gobs of memory is needed to help make the internet run fast, while keeping all of your programs open. Internet access is needed to stay connected to the world, twitter or forums. Maybe you use just for news. Because the internet is using videos and storing pictures, having a fast internet connection comes in handy, now almost mandatory for at least have DSL speed. One of the things I do is accumulate software that you can get and use from the internet. The productivity and communication software has gotten allot better over the years, easy to install and talk to others. One of the softwares that has become mandatory is anti-virus software, due to all the bad-guys passing out little trojan bugs to make havic on your computer. I have found free software for virus protection works very well sometimes better than purchased software. One of most popular downloads is free Norton Antivirus download ,  Norton is famous for protecting computer for many years. I know I have used Norton for at least 15 years.  You can even get Reviews of free Norton Antivirus software before you download the software. You can not go wrong with down loading this software because it will protect the running of your computer.

Cutting edge socializing. Do you like to micro-blog, aggregation, and have portable identities? Now the folks at 6 apart have come up with a software package called Motion. Motion is an application programmed around the open standards and offers the best features of each of these services, Twitter, Tumblr and FriendFeed. The Motion software package can be installed on server side for users of Movable Type. Pretty cool. Your Blog can contain not just your posted updates, but also updates from the third-party services like available Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and soon others. Now this is like turning your blog into its own social media site. I am sure WP with have one soon.
