There is something about mountain views that just bring out the serenity of an area. We have visited many areas with beautiful mountain views and found it hard to leave any of them. One area that is truly beautiful is North Vancouver. It has the backdrop of the North Shore Mountains that gives that area a landscape like few others. They now have a 20 story North Vancouver high rise that features the North Shore Mountains as their window views. If you are looking for a condo North Vancouver this would be what you are looking for. It has the shops and the cafes just downstairs because of it’s location on the strip. It sits on a 42,000 square foot grocery store so running out of sugar would no longer be an issue!

One of the great things about living in the United States is there are so many choices on places to live. When you are a corporate person you sometimes find yourself living in different areas. All of this moving can be monotheist unless you are moving to the Vancouver area. The economy may be having a slower recovery then we would like but it is moving. The real estate market is also on a slow pace but that translates to a buyers market. When we think about our dream homes we think about the same things. We all want to have a nice yard and the size of it may vary from person to person. We all want a comfortable sized bathroom and good sized closets. We all need storage also. All of these things can be overlooked with the mention of the next room. The one thing that sells a house for most of us are the kitchens. We all love designer kitchens. I have actually heard a couple looking at a home say that they really wanted another bedroom but they loved the kitchen so much they were willing to sacrifice a bedroom for it! That is how important our kitchens are. I think most builders know this when they go into a building project. If they want to sell a home they should not cut corners on the kitchens. We had a beautiful home in our neighborhood that was on the market forever. It was amazing at how long it just sat there. They cut the grass and had many open houses and no results. We thought they must be asking too much. Our curiosity got to us and we checked the price and were stunned at how low it was. We then went in it on the next open house. We were so amazed at the beauty of the foyer. The giant windows followed through the home to the pool outback as the sun glistened on the water as though it was trying to sell the home! One room after another gave the impression of opulence. We were so excited to see the kitchen because our expectations were really high. When we turned the corner to enter the kitchen we were stunned to see and apartment style kitchen with small apartment sized appliances as though the kitchen was an after thought! Each person that came around the corner had the same look we did and they all left with the same words of what a shame! It was as if the kitchen erased the beauty of the entire home! We felt like they should redo the entire kitchen to the caliber of the rest of the home then raise the price and it would sell.

There are things that you can do to your home that will make a really big difference on your curb appeal. We found that adding window shutters to our home totally changed the look of our home. It made the landscaping look better even. You can get shutters in a variety of styles as well as price ranges which means that for most people they are affordable. You will be surprised at the difference they can make on the look of your home. For our home we knew when we bought it that we would add shutters. What we did not realize is how big of a difference they would actually make. When we were in the process of installation we actually had people stop to tell us what a big difference that it was making! We think that it actually longated our home giving it a much larger appearance from the front. It definately gave it a more cared for and neater appearance even though it was landscaped and cared for already. The former owners stopped by and told us they had been thinking of adding shutters for years but were not sure that the house would look better with them or smaller. Now they saw that it was a good choice. I know that the choice to add shutters added value to our home because it really made our home attract more attention and good curb appeal adds value.

With episodes featuring classic MTV disc jockey Pauly Shore and other celebrities, Really Rich Real Estate is worth watching just to hear has beens like Pauly talk like they’re still famous. This reality show follows the Westside Estate Agency (WEA). The company helps celebrities like Pauly find their dream homes. The shows on VH1, so maybe that explains why there are so many D-list stars. I mean Tom Arnold? Really? Half the time I don’t even know who these people are.

But maybe that’s the point. These semi-celebrities acting like pompous, egotistical maniacs is exactly what makes this show a must see. It’s amazing how arrogant these people are even though the rest of the world has long forgotten them. The show also gives you insight into the type of money people in show business must accrue if people like this can afford houses like that. Another great thing about the show is that even if they get a boring celebrity like Frankie Muniz, you only have to see him for like 10 minutes. The shows narrated by Chris Parsons with Max Shapiro, Kurt Rappaport and Stephen Shapiro as the super smug agents. The show is rarely on as VH1 is constantly shifting its programming so being able to do a smart search on my satellite tv from www.expertsatellite.com/directv-vs-dish.html helps me find this show that I can’t get enough of.
