I think out of all the things that we did to our out door living space my favorite thing is our outdoor fireplace. I find it so relaxing to come home in the afternoons and light a fire. We enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and talk about our day. Something about it is so therapeutic. When I hear things around the outdoor fireplace it just sounds different then if I hear it anywhere else. I think that it is one of those things that just remind you of how lucky we are and how thankful we should be.

A really good friend of ours found an old home that he and his wife fell in love with. We all work hard all day. One of the rewards that we look forward to is coming home and enjoying a relaxing evening watching tv and spending time with our children. When you work hard you take your relaxation time seriously. One thing that I enjoy is to come home and spend some time in my recliner. I did not think that we wanted to put a recliner in our den because it may give it a much more casual look then we were originally looking for. There are so many details to take care of during this holiday season. Groceries to buy and arrangements to make but the thing that I enjoy most is the purchasing of the gifts. My mother wants a wall clock for the kitchen. She has hinted around to everyone that is what she wants. The trouble is she has mentioned nothing else. We have all now matched noted to find out she is getting five wall clocks for Christmas! She is going to get a kick out of this. We have never done this before but she normally tells each of us something different. This time as we each entered her kitchen she would say I wonder what time it is? She would then make a comment to remind her to buy a clock for her kitchen! She went on to describe the style she wanted. Luckily we all got her a different one. This is going to be fun!
