It can be hard to imagine that in this day and age you could take a medication that is prescribed for you and have it make you seriously ill but that is exactly what is happening to many people who have taken the acne medication called Accutane. This acne medication has been prescribed for severe acne and has caused many people to suffer side effects that are serious risk to their lives and way of lives due to long time health issues. You see side effects warnings on medications all the time. Every time we get a prescription we see the list of possible side effects. These lawsuits against medications causing these health issues should be our wake up call to take these side effect warnings seriously and not think that it would not happen to us. The link between accutane and ulcerative colitis is being played out with many people falling victims. This is a serious condition that has happened to these people because they took an acne medication. Accutane has other side effects as well from severe depression, birth defects, suicidal thoughts and Crohn’s Disease. These are only a few of the possible side effects that people taking this drug are dealing with. That is why there is a class action lawsuit against this drug. When ever you are taking a new drug that is prescribed for you ask questions. It is your body that will have to deal with the side effects so you need to know the risk before you take it.
