We had forgotten how much fun skateboarding can be until our children became old enough to ride them. We started them off with a beginner slow board but they quickly got use to them and started trying to do tricks on them! We then went to a real skateboard and it was as if they had to learn to ride all over. The big boards are so different and they go much faster. They and their friends love to go to the park and skateboard while we parents watch and talk about how we use to do that! Now you can get so much really cool gear for you Skateboards online. You can get all of the pads and safety gear as well as any parts you need. They have the boards and trucks so you can really customize your board if you want to or you can purchase them ready to ride! It is amazing how as much as things change they stay the same! When we road our skateboards we road them in the streets in front of our homes and on our driveways. I still remember some of the ramps we made. Now they actually have skateboard parks where they already have ramps and the riding zones are not made of the asphalt that we had. It makes for a smoother ride but I believe a faster ride as well.
