We have always heard that it is not nice to gossip and I suppose that is where our obsession derives from. You can not turn on the television or go through the grocery store that you are not faced with Hollywood Gossip. I have to admit many times I have stood in the longest lines so I could go through a magazine when the cover story caught my eye but at least I admit it. I had a lady in line in front of me that was also reading a gossip magazine and our eyes met as we reached for another magazine. She quickly took her choice magazine and opened it complaining how unfair it is that photographers literally chased these people around trying to get bad pictures of them. She was clearly agitated about it and her voice even rose as she spoke. I just listened to her. She then proceeds to tell me about many different stories and pictures that she has seen and read lately as another person joined in. They spent the next 20 minutes comparing the things they had read and discussing the evils of these magazines. One thing that I noticed through their entire conversation is they had read them all and apparently memorized them. They even discussed the evils of TV and how they were just as guilty as they discussed each magazine show at great length! Like I said at least I admit it! We all love gossip especially if it is about famous people because we feel like we know them somewhat. If you hear two people talking we can not help but listen it is just human nature. I believe it comes from the human nature of just being informed and paying attention to the world around us. Where ever it comes from you have to admit Hollywood gossip is fun and it is a guilty pleasure that most all of us share if we want to admit it or not.
