We all have stories about how much we loved our trikes and bikes as we were growing up. My trike went through all of my siblings before me and when I got to claim it as my own it was a little bruised in places but I loved it. I rode my trike for quite a while before I out grew it. When we gave it to another family it had a lot of years left on it. That was how it was made really durable and steady. We even rode on it when we were much too big and heavy for it. Now that I have children of my own I have noticed that the tricycles of today were not made the same. They really only last through the single child and then you have to get another for the next child. That is no longer true. There is a company that makes Winther Tricycle that has made them to last. If you ever need to replace something on it you can get replacement parts! They are metal like the ones we grew up with and they are used by schools so you know they can take abuse of many children! This is such good news to me because that means more generations will have their trike stories and they will be able to pass their trikes down to the next generation so more children will be able to feel that right of passage feeling you get when you grow into something that represents the next phase of your life. When you are young these phases are very big. When you are parents I think they are even bigger!
