There are so many people looking for work it is mind blowing. There are more steps to go through for some jobs then others but it seems everyone is waiting to hear from someone. Whether they are in the pre-employment screening stage or if they are waiting on a final decision waiting is still waiting. We all know waiting can be nerve wrecking. Those of us that have not yet been effected need to safe guard ourselves the best we can so that will not be us next. Sometimes there is nothing you can do but if there is something do not wait. Things like making yourself available for any project at work increases your value to your employer. Also being on time is a big thing at most all jobs. These are just some things that can make a difference should several names be on the table for consideration.
