I have always had a special place in my heart for clocks. Howard Miller clocks are especially high on my list since that is the brand of clock that I grew up listening to. The beautiful chimes rang through our home most of my childhood. When I inherited our clock it meant even more to me. Our bed time was marked by this beautiful clock as my mother would send us to bed and then my brothers and I would lean to the end of our beds and watch as mother turned off the chimes for the night. The silence of the night was so quiet. The next morning we would awaken to the smell of bacon and the familiar sounds of the grandfather clocks reminding us the day had begun. My kids now also appreciate the familiar sounds of what we lovingly call “ole faithful”. They stand beside me as I turn off the chimes before we go off to bed each night. The next morning as I go down the stairs I can not help but look in our foyer and notice how the sunshine makes her wood show even more then she did many years ago. That is the thing about howard miller clocks they last forever, I like viewing all the latest at http://www.1-800-4clocks.com/. This clock has not lost a minute (of course we keep her weights wound). My kids love our clock as much as I do and as my son said he knows they will each have a clock of their own when they get their own homes because it does not seems like a home without hearing chimes! find more on clocks at the blog http://www.clocksblog.com.
