There is a need for a new power source and for years people have half- heartedly danced around the idea of solar energy. Try as it might it was just not catching on to the general public. Perhaps it was the cost or maybe it was the fact that until recently people just did not realize how important finding an alternative energy source was. With energy sources depleating on our growing planet the need for a renewable energy source is growing and more people are understanding that now. Suddenly people are catching on to the idea and we are now seeing examples of solar power popping up everywhere from gigantic solar power panels to little garden lights buring into the night. The point is Welcome to the future of energy!. To take full advantage of solar power use to be a very expensive thing. Now, realizing this is a real and viable power source, there are cash backs offered with tax refunds. Another problem is how can this be installed in my home or office to make it be solar energy dependent and will it cost me more in the long run. With it’s growing popularity has come new solutions to these problems. Research is being done to make solar energy surpass nuclear energy in cost per Mwh. There are also different types of solar energy available to be used for just about anything we need to use energy for such as: solar cars, solar lighting, solar cooling and heating systems, and most of us have seen the solar heat collecting panels. The sun and it’s life giving energy keeps the planet we live on habitable and now we can harness it’s energy to run our world more efficiently. Solar energy is literally the way to a brighter future.
