We love to swim in creeks, lakes , oceans and rivers but not in our basements. Last year my mother had that option. When she returned home from vacation she was meet with water everywhere. It seems that her regulator stopped working and there was a water surge that just happened to happen at the right or wrong time depending how you look at it. When the surge came the pipes went and the rest is unbelievable. The water flooded her entire basement and according to the water line made it near the top of the stairs. Sitting for a few days it managed to soak through the blocks on the outside wall which brought the water level down some. Since no one was home we are not exactly sure of where or why all the water came only that it did. It was expensive to clean up and it was messy. She lost quite a bit of personal stuff in all of that and it was heartbreaking to see her upset. Now we look back in amazement at how pretty it all turned out.
