Now that the new year is here, one of the trek that carbon based life forms par-take in is starting a fitness and diet program. This will includes training, diet changes and vitamins. The vitamin b12 benefits is they are a water soluble vitamin that has a key role in the normal functioning of your brain and nervous system along with the formation of blood. B-12 is one of the eight B vitamins. It is involved in your metabolism of every cell of the body and those that affect DNA synthesis and regulation. B-12 also affects fatty acid synthesis and energy production of the body.

Vitamin B-12 is naturally found in meat, most in liver and shellfish, my fav, milk and eggs. Animals must obtain B-12 from bacteria, and these bacteria may inhabit a section of the gut which is posterior to the section where B-12 is absorbed. Vitamin B12 is found in foods that come from animals including fish, meat, poultry, eggs, milk and milk products. Even certain insects such as termites contain B-12 produced by their gut bacteria. Oh goody eating termites is a good thing, shhh, thinking about packaging termites for snacks.
