The Halloween tradition was originated under holiday of the Samhain that is a Pagan festival among the Celts of Britain. The Scottish and Irish immigrants brought with with them versions of the halloween tradition to America in the nineteenth century. The Halloween tradition was broght to the western countries as a holiday in the later half ot the 20 century. The Halloween celebration now take parts of the western world. Most of the following countries Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and sometimes in Australia and New Zealand celebrate the Halloween tradition. The holiday has also been celebrated in various other parts of Western Europe.
European traditions tell of Halloween as one of the liminal times of the year when the spirits will make contact within our physical world. This is also when magic is most potent. Fast forward to today’s Halloween where we dress as cartoon characters, sports, movie stars, actors and folks in politics.
Most years I just go as a ninja. But the new costumes have been very impressive looking on how they are made. The one from the Halloween Costume Stores I have been watching is the Batman costume. Everyone likes Batman. Now where can I get one of those motorcycle thingies.
In December I might get an Elf Christmas Costumes for a party or two.
